After you wrapped up Duckworth it all clicked for me and amazed I said out loud "damn...", then I remembered the album title and was like "DAMN."

I always see the blind woman as a blind seer archetype. It’s one of the oldest archetypes to exist in religions across the world but first that comes to mind is always Tiresias who is cursed with blindness and clairvoyance by Athena so that he may see all that will befall you but no one will ever listen to him. One of the biggest religious themes that he is an example of is that hubris will lead you to ruin and that meshes well with many of the themes in Damn.

I appreciate you for making this video I’ve never really dug into Kendrick’s catalog quite as much until the current beef he had with Drake happen, because yes I am a Drake fan but having a better understanding of Kendrick’s music has helped me appreciate it more

Loved your breakdown but I just wanted to say that while I originally didn't see the blind woman as God the same way you did, one thing to support that idea is that this is not the first time Kendrick has referenced God being present on Earth in his music. On his previous album, To Pimp a Butterfly, in the song How Much a Dollar Cost he tells a story about meeting a homeless man who begged him for a dollar and Kendrick, being "insensitive" and "lacking empathy" after gaining so much success, refused to give the man even a single dollar bill. It is then revealed that the homeless man is actually God, and the price of that dollar, to Kendrick, was his spot in heaven. A common belief in Christianity is that God can appear to you in different forms in order to test your faith, or humility, so on DAMN, being a more cynical album, I think it could be interpreted that God appearing to Kendrick as the blind woman was a way of once again testing him. However this time, God is testing whether Kendrick is wicked or weak, and rather than simply taking away his spot in heaven, God chooses to kill him, and send him- or damn him- to hell.

I think that the gunshot after "you've lost your life" was meant to be the gunshot his father took, and I think that that gunshot might as well have been for kendrick, since killing his father, led to Kendrick's Spiritual/Metaphoric death as well, I think that the reason it was portrayed using a gunshot sound is because that's probably how it might've snapped in Kendrick's mind as he was helping the woman. kinda like Dot suddenly realizing that that event was what led to his downfall. I don't think that the gunshot was kendrick literally dying at all
